עדינה מושבי היא פרופסור חבר בחוג ללשון העברית באוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים. היא מרצה בחוג ואף עמדה בראשו ובראש מרכז בן־יהודה לחקר העברית באוניברסיטה. לְפנים לימדה במחלקה ללשון העברית וללשונות שמיות באוניברסיטת בר־אילן. בראשית דרכה התחנכה מושבי בחוג ללשונות שמיות וספרות שמית בישיבה יוניברסיטי בניו־יורק, ובה כתבה את עבודת הדוקטור שלה בתחביר לשון המקרא בהדרכת פרופסור ראובן (ריצ'רד) שטיינר. לאחר מכן עלתה ארצה.
תחומי מחקרה: תחביר, פרגמטיקה וחקר השיח של לשון המקרא. בתחומים אלו היא פרסמה מאמרים רבים. ספרהּ עוסק בסדר המילים של לשון המקרא. מושבי גם ערכה שני ספרים, והיא מעורכי כתב העת "מחקרים בלשון".
